In 1999, Terri became the owner of the great grey Shire gelding, Peplow Prince Clifford. It would be very remiss not to mention the previous owner and importer of this wonderful horse, our friend Mr. Kent Wilson Jones – thank you! It’s been an amazing journey with Clifford. Before his retirement, he participated in the last Great Circus Parade held in 2009 at Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He continues his life with us at the age of 22. Our interest and love of the “grey” Shires has been enhanced by importing our mare, Brandt’s Arwen, in 2009 when she was a yearling. Arwen was born in Germany to Brandt’s Shires, then sold to Mr. Philip Moss of Hillmoor Farm in England. With the assistance and advice of Mr. Arlin Wareing, we were able to purchase and bring Arwen to Wisconsin. She has proven to be an excellent show and brood mare. We are honored with Brandt’s Arwen being the All-American Two Year Old Shire Mare in 2010. Arwen blessed us with a very special gift on May 11, 2014 (Sunday morning, Mother’s Day) – our beautiful Shire filly … Grey Feather Princess Ava. We are extremely pleased with Ava and believe she has a promising future with great genetics behind her. Her sire, Loud Bridge Louis, proved to an excellent choice for breeding. Louis is a grey Shire and was imported/owned by Kent Wilson Jones. He was also the All-American Two Year Old Shire Stallion in 2010. Grey Feather looks forward to building our Shire herd and to produce and promote quality for the Shire breed.
“The things we truly love stay with us always, locked in our hearts as long as life remains.”
